What we believe

THE BIBLE

We believe the Bible to be the infallible, inspired Word of God which reveals his plan and purpose to mankind.
‘All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof,
for correction, for instruction in righteousness’ (2 Timothy 3:16).
The Bible can only be clearly understood by those who are anointed by the Holy Spirit.
‘But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they
are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually
discerned’ (1 Corinthians 2:14)

‘Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but Holy men of God spake as they were moved by the HolyGhost’ (" Peter 1:20)

 

THE ONENESS OF GOD
The Bible declares and we believe, there is ONE ever living, eternal God, infinite in power, holy in nature who is the source of all things, visible and invisible.
‘Hear O Israel, the Lord our God is one Lord’ (Deuteronomy 6:4)
(Isaiah 37:16, Isaiah 44:6, Isaiah 45:21-22, Mark 12:29 & 3)
‘One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all’ (Ephesians 4:6)

This one true God has revealed Himself as Father in creation and through His Son in redemption; and through the power of the Holy Spirit.
‘And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory’ (1 Timothy 3:16)
(Joel 2:28, Ephesians 4:6, 1 Corinthians 8:6, 2 Corinthians 5; 19).

The one true God, the Jehovah of the Old Testament, took upon himself the form of man, and as the Son of man, was born of the Virgin Mary and revealed as JESUS our saviour, was also God himself in flesh.
(Isaiah 9:6, Matthew 1 :21 & 23, St John 1: 10 -14)
‘…in Him (Jesus) dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily’ (Colossians 2:9)

‘For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus’ (1 Timothy 2:5)

SALVATION

We believe salvation is only obtained through belief in Jesus Christ, true repentance, baptism in the Name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, with the evidence of speaking in tongues and living a Holy Life. In other words, we must be born again of the water and of the spirit as Jesus commanded (St John 3 :3 & 5, Romans 10:9-10)
The correct formula for baptism is for the believer to be fully immersed in water in the Name of Jesus Christ as conducted by the servants of God in the Acts of the Apostles 2:38; 8:16; 10:48; 19:5, so obeying and fulfilling Matthew 28:19.

 

SHARING THE GOSPEL
The Gospel of the kingdom, the good news of salvation, the death, burial and resurrection of our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ, (‘For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive’ - 1 Corinthians 5:22), must be shared with every race, tongue and creed, as this is the only true way of eternal life. (St Matthew 28:19 -20; Mark 16:15-16).

man Christ Jesus’ (1 Timothy 2:5)

 

We believe and assert that our Lord Jesus Christ shall return for his (people) church, (Thessalonians 4:15-18, St John. 14:2-3, Titus 2:13).
